The National People’s Power (NPP) believes in the people, its National Executive Member, MP Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said.
The MP said this while addressing a public meeting held in the Moratuwa area recently.
The MP said that male and female leaders who can save the country from the current disaster will be presented to the country and the hope of her group is to provide something new to the country. Amarasuriya said that the behaviour of some politicians in this country is not suitable for modern society and said the people are asking for a democratic leadership that can set an example.
By producing leaders who can understand the people, who can understand the problems of the people, we are going to create a society full of modern vision and humanitarian vision that this country needs.”Let’s all come together to build a new country. Let’s work and let’s change,”she said.
